I hope things on your side of the internet are fantastic. We are doing OK, but better since starting another round of antibiotics for Miss Cora. She has another ear infection, which would explain why she hasn’t slept the past week. (I have to apologize in advance for all of my pictures being from SnapChat. I rarely take normal pictures anymore.)
Her doctor also said that her ear infection is secondary to some allergies that have brought about a lot of drainage and a nasty sounding cough, so she also suggested starting an antihistamine. I don’t know if it was that, the antibiotic, or the Motrin I gave her, but one of them helped her to sleep fantastically last night, which this mamma desperately needed, so I am super thankful for that.
I am thankful that the tulips at work bloomed! I distinctly remember this day every year and it seriously is my favorite day, because when I see them I feel hope for something new. I know that sounds super cheesy, but it is actually true.
I am thankful for Ina’s success at swim lessons. She went from barely keeping her head underwater for 2 seconds a week ago to 5 seconds last night! I think she crossed over the hump and is happy to be there now. Conveniently right before it is time to shell out money for the next semester...
I am thankful for quick dinners - lettuce chicken cups might be my new favorite meal. I had leftovers with brown rice the next day.
I am thankful for Easter baskets. Dan’s dad and step-mom gave Cora and Ina the mother load of Easter goodies - Candy, stamps, books, tutus, pinwheels, hair bows, clothes, the list goes on and on. They were seriously the best Easter baskets I have ever seen. I hope the girls know I can’t compete with that. Ha!
Then Danielle had an Easter egg hunt and dye party for the kids. Ina had a blast and immediately ate 3 of the 4 eggs she brought home.
I am thankful for my Daniel Plan group. Our study is almost over, which makes me sad, but I really learned a lot!
I am thankful for you!
Have a good day! <3
