Good morning!
(Cora is still working on her selfie game.)
So many things to be thankful for today!
I am thankful for my in-laws who assisted us on our extremely last minute two day vacation.
I was able to have some one-on-one time with Ina at the pool and Dan and I had a few pool “dates” during Ina’s nap time.
Even though it was only two days, the vacation was perfect and gave us a great refresh.
On a slightly related note, I am also thankful for our king sized bed. We had a queen on vacation, which just doesn’t provide the space Ina likes to lay completely horizontal between Dan and I. (#firstworldproblems)
I am thankful that my mom cooked us dinner last night. I didn’t take a picture, but it was salmon, sweet potato, peas, and salad. I completely forgot about Ina’s love for peas and, judging by her consumption last night, will have to start buying them at CostCo.
I am thankful that the Kansas City Zoo does not allow us to pet a polar bear,
ride an elephant,
or take a hippo home - all things that Ina asked to do. Better them saying no than me, right?
We hit up the zoo yesterday with Danielle and her kids. Cora was a champ and only cried when we were in the gorilla exhibit, which was likely because she wanted to get out of the stroller and see the baby gorilla for herself.
I am thankful for Dan going to work to help support our family. Of course I am always thankful for this, but while I am on maternity leave I see how hard it is for him to leave when we all get to stay home and spend time together.
I am thankful that I have absolutely nothing to do today. Or tomorrow. So, so weird.
Have a great day!
