Over-Did It

Hey Hey. 

Sigh. I think I overdid it this weekend with all the nesting. Yesterday wasn’t the best day. I had random waves of nausea, muscles in my stomach were sore, and I just felt off. 

It is weird how some days I feel completely normal other than my stomach is bigger and other days I feel PREGNANT.

I think my body is just telling me to slow down and I am trying to listen, but there are just so many reasons to not rest. Bless Dan’s heart, he is trying to help, but even when he is up doing the dishes I feel the need to organize Ina’s toys or do a load of laundry. On top of that, yesterday someone came and picked up our piano, so we can finally start the furniture shuffle plan I have in my head. It is so tempting to pick up a chair, or slide a table. 

And then there is Ina, who actually doesn’t require all that much physical energy, unless it involves getting her dressed.

Yesterday I considered it a win that I got pants and shoes on under her “fancy gown” that she insisted on wearing all day. She has three princess dress pajamas and I have a feeling they might be a new wardrobe staple.

I can’t forget cooking. Yesterday I made enchilada quinoa casserole, which was super easy because I cooked the quinoa in the rice cooker in the morning and added some leftover rotisserie chicken I had in the freezer. I even made my own enchilada sauce and was done before Ina went through a whole bottle of bubbles - a new record. 

I see a lot more casseroles in my future.

  1. Oh my, if you found that quinoa enchilada casserole on pinterest then I know which one you mean and it is heavenly! The recipe made loads and we had lots left over, but I ended up eating all the leftovers for lunches that week and didn't care cause it was that good! :-) Hope you are well lovely! :-) xx
