Thankful Thursday

Good morning! How is your Thursday treating you?

As always, mine is going wonderfully as I think about all the things I have to be thankful for.

I am thankful for my gym’s pool that offers a slew of classes, which is pretty much a pregnant girl’s dream. I tried another class yesterday morning, and although I was the youngest participant by at least 30 years, I found parts of it challenging and plan to go back when Dan’s schedule allows. I am also thankful I went to the class because as soon as I changed into my swimsuit I could hear Ina telling Dan, “I miss Mommy and Baby Gary."

Yeesh.

I almost climbed back in bed with them, but knew I was going completely stir crazy and needed to get out and move those muscles, which I am so glad I did.

Speaking of Ina, she still has a fever and is wheezing, but if we stay on top of her ibuprofen and albuterol schedule she mostly seems OK, which I am unbelievably thankful for. If she has a fever today, it will be Day 5, which I think means we need a second opinion on her situation, just in case.

I am also thankful for all my friends and family who have checked up on her. <3

I am thankful for my midwife’s super old bedside ultrasound machine.

Baby Gary was hiding from the doppler, so we couldn’t get his/her heart beat for more than a few seconds.

I think that is a good excuse to see the baby up close and personal, don’t you? We were able to see him/her kick and wiggle. I made my appointment for the gender-revealing-ultrasound in 4 weeks! I can’t believe that time has already come.

I am so thankful that Dan let me go to sleep last night after I couldn’t get albuterol-induced-hulk-Ina calmed down. She couldn’t even stay still to listen to me read her a book, which is so unlike her. I brought her downstairs to Dan and he told me to go to bed, which I happily did.

What are you thankful for?

  1. I don't often say it, but I love your Thankful posts. And I love the name Baby Gary for this go 'round. It kind of sounds like Hurricane Gary! Tee hee. Let's just hope I'm not foreshadowing! ;-)
