Thankful Thursday

Good morning! How are you doing?

My morning has kind of been meh. Ina woke up with a fever, but only needed about 2 minutes of cuddles before requesting her dinosaur puzzle.

I am so thankful that Dan’s parents are here to take care of her today, because I have a few work meetings that really shouldn’t be missed. Leaving a sick girl is always hard, so I am planning on lots of check in calls today.

I am also thankful for:

- Neck massages. I did something to my neck during my swim on Tuesday and Dan has been helping me out. This “injury” might last a while.

-Oranges the size of my face.

Dan’s parents bought these at Sam’s Club last night and they are some of the sweetest I have tasted.

-The learning tower my grandpa built Ina for Christmas. He “loosely” followed these directions. By “loosely” I mean he lost everything I printed out but the first page that had a picture of the thing and two measurements.

Ina climbs in it every night while we are cooking dinner and uses it as her home base for everything. If you have a toddler and try to get anything done in the kitchen, I would file this under the “need” category.

-Greek Chocolate

Our fellow at work went home to Greece for the holidays. She brought us back a delicious treat! I am also thankful you didn’t notice my chipped nail polish.

Cheers!

What are you thankful for?

  1. I am thankful that I am due with my baby girl in 5 days! I'm hoping she decides to come on her own so I do not need to be induced!

  2. I am thankful that I have the patience to enjoy my lovely new baby, despite all the crying she does all day (she's great at night). I'm keeping calm by putting her in the baby carrier whenever possible, drinking lots of chamomile tea, and taking walks around the neighborhood. :-)

    1. Oh man, that is hard. Good thing you can take walks outside though! I used to take my daughter in the bathroom, turn out all the lights, and turn on the vent for some while noise and that would always calm her right down. Good luck!
