Good morning and Happy Monday!
I hope your weekend was very restful. My days were, but my nights, not-so-much. Lilly, our dog, is having some stomach issues, so I was up with her most of the night last night. Combined with Dan’s snoring and Ina’s coughing, I think I am going to check into a hotel tonight.
Yesterday was a full on church day. First, we went to the service, which had a great message and worship.
Isn’t our church decorated beautifully?
Then, around lunch we came back for a meeting about the next steps our church is taking.
(Dan was in an example and did a fantastic job playing his part)
We arrived home around 3:30 just in time to put Ina down for a late nap and to whip up some cookies for our small group to make cookie boxes.
We stuck invites to our church in the boxes and are handing them out to our neighbors.
(Yes, we will resort to sugar to introduce you to Jesus. It works for Ina, so don’t think I won’t try it on you.)
This kind of day, a day full of activities, was the exact reason why I was very hesitant to get involved with our church. I thought it would take up a lot of my time, and truthfully, it does. But, what would I have spent that time doing instead? Watching TV? Sitting on the couch? Cleaning? Bleh.
Yesterday I worshipped, served, enjoyed fellowship, ministered, and evangelized. I honestly can’t think of a more enjoyable Sunday or a better investment of my time.
Have a good week!
