Good morning! Last night I watched the Royals sweep the Angels and advance in the playoffs.
We didn’t get home until almost 1 and I cried when my head hit the pillow. The women next to me had a sign that said, “Royals, please get the sweep, because you are your players need some sleep!”
Preach.
Now let’s talk about the pumpkin run, aka, the hardest 5K I have run. We had a lot of rain here in KC a few days ago, and the race director sent us an email that said to be prepared for a wet course.
However, as I lined up to start, I had no idea what I was about to get myself into.
Mud. Lots of mud. Women were screaming. People were falling. I saw two girls whose shoes were sucked into the mud and they couldn’t find them.
Seriously.
After the mud there were pumpkins, tractor ruts, and corn in the way.
When I crossed the finish line I was so proud that I didn’t break anything.
I ran with my friends Brad and Chessa, while Dan played at the farm with their son Silo and Ina.
We had a great time.
Now for more coffee so I don’t face plant into my keyboard at 10 am.
Have a good day!
So glad we have a break until the ALCS, I think the whole metro needs some decent sleep!
