Good morning!
Today I am thankful to see Ina again - she was at her grandparents’ house for a few days and boy did I mss her. When I am away from her I get scared that I have forgotten what she looks like. Weird, huh?
But then I see her and realize that I could never forget that face.
Today I am thankful that I squeezed in a run before the game yesterday. It was short, but needed.
Today I am thankful for my job. I have had a few tasks that have sucked me into the computer screen in the best possible way.
Today I am thankful for Ina’s Halloween costume. I can’t wait to show you tomorrow.
Today I am thankful that the Royals. That we had a postseason. That we went to the World Series. That I saw my city come together. That Ina screams, “Let’s go Royals!” or “MOOOSE” or “Come on Shields!” whenever she sees baseball on TV.

This has been such a fun, exciting, emotionally draining, expensive, and exhausting month and I would be lying if I said I wasn’t a little disappointed that we lost. But a little disappointed is all that I am. Just a little. Those boys showed us what they are capable of and have set the bar pretty high for next year. I am already looking forward to it.
