I am thankful for my employer’s support of the Royals.
Yesterday was such an exciting day, I could barely focus. I could tell the locals from the Kansas City implants in my office by the look of sleep deprived, ecstatic delirium on their faces. Everyone wanted to stop and talk about the game. How do people with consistently winning sports teams ever get any work done? I would love to find out!
I am thankful that Christmas came in October!
I am thankful for the fans being so loud on Tuesday, that the game was impacted.
I am thankful for this article:
"This was more than a baseball game, and even more than a playoff game. This was something more like group therapy, Royals fans emptying a generation of angst into Kansas City’s wildest sports night since at least 1985."
And a few non-baseball related notes:
I am thankful that the apple crisp was left at my house after small group. It made an excellent Greek yogurt topper.
I am thankful that Ina’s Granny and Papa stayed the night last night - I slept so hard that when I woke up to my alarm I didn’t know who I was, where I was, or what was making that noise.
I am thankful to my cousin for introducing me to skyline chili (so good!), which I served last night on top of a sweet potato.
I am thankful for gooey pumpkin pudding cake. No picture needed.
What are you thankful for?
