When Ina is away, I have no reservations about using my blender at 5:30 am.
To make the spicy iced mocha add the following ingredient’s to a blender:
- 1 C of cold brew coffee (I used this method)
- 1/3 almond milk or other milk of choice
- 1 tsp of cocoa powder
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon
- a pinch of cayenne
- sweetener of choice to taste (optional - I didn’t use any)
When Ina is away, my hair gets straightened, my clothes are stain and hole free, AND I have make-up on. Usually I am lucky if I get one out three.
When Ina is away, I get the chance to remove the chipped remnants of nail polish that were put on two weeks ago without risking Ina drinking the nail polish remover. (I don’t know why, but that kid has some kind of weird attraction to the stuff.)
When Ina is away, I still leave the house 5 minutes late because I try to shove as many activities as possible into my morning.
When Ina is away, I call her to talk. She says, “Hi, Mommy!” and then wants to go see the horses. I hate hanging up.
When Ina is away, I harvest my garden.
When Ina is away, I stay in the kitchen.
I made a few things yesterday - from top right going clockwise:
- Chia seed pudding (with honey, peaches, and walnuts added in)
- Oatmeal raisin lara bars
- Salsa [which Dan proceeded to drink]
- Thai basil beef
When Ina is away, I do not sit down, especially near her toys, because then I miss her.
When Ina is away, I make a long run date.
Kim and I ran 7 miles together and it was amazing. I have missed running with her!
When Ina is away, Dan and I sit down to eat dinner and watch the Royals game, but instead end up watching videos of her on my phone.
When Ina is away, I get a little glimpse of my previous pre-child life. I see the freedoms I used to have, but I also see the empty spots and I count the minutes until I see her again - which is so soon!
I hope you have a great weekend! See you on Sunday with my food and fitness plan for the week. <3
