It is Thursday, and we all know that means it is the day when I list off why I am a super blessed lady. I love doing this every Thursday, because practicing gratitude is important to success, in almost any area of your life.
So, at the end of the post, when I ask what YOU are thankful for, I am encouraging you to do the same thing. Give it a try, every Thursday, or better yet, every day. It will surely put a smile on your face, which is a great way to start or end the day.
I am trying to teach this habit to Ina early, and every night before bed we say her prayers, which mostly consist of saying thank you to God for anything she did that day and of course, thank you for Jesus. I know she understands it, because if I forget someone or something she is thankful for, after we say, “amen,” she will yell it out.
Thank you Aumlette! (our dog)
Thank you G! (my mom)
Thank you Frozen! (we are already sucked in)
Thank you rice! (like her momma, she also is very thankful for food)
Hearing all the things she is thankful for makes me realize even more all the things I have to be thankful for.
Today I am thankful that Dan still picks me flowers.
When he gets home from work, he brings them inside and hides them behind his back and asks me to guess which hand “my surprise” is in. So sweet.
I am thankful that my spin instructor on Tuesday let us try a heart rate monitor, which brings a whole new level to my workout.
I am thankful that Ina accepted my phone in exchange for the marker at the voting booth - after a lot of convincing. She really liked the “I voted!” sticker.
I am thankful that Danielle and her mom took Ina to Kaleidoscope this week and sent me the cutest pictures and videos.
I am thankful that when I am in a funky mood (like I was last night) Dan understands and instead of matching my mood, does things to try to make me feel better.
I am thankful that my friends really “get” me and encourage me.
Speaking of yesterday’s post - thanks to all of you for your kind words. <3
I am always thankful for you!
What are YOU thankful for?
