Ina spent the night at her grandparents’ house last night, so I woke up this morning fully rested, which I am super thankful for. I do, however, miss that little girl so much and already wish it was time for me to leave work and pick her up.
A few other things I am thankful for:
- Story time.
Ina loves books so much. Now, instead of just handing us a book and yelling, “MAWM!” (her word for I want this NOW), she hands me the book, yells, “mawm!” and crawls up in my lap. Then she points to things in the pictures. Sometimes she tells me what they are and other times she asks me what they are. If I ask her where the bear, ball, dog, bird, flower, or moon are in any picture she can point them out pretty quickly.
She also is gaining a little more patience with the longer books and can tolerate reading Dr. Suess, which I love. Her new favorite book is Put Me in the Zoo (a Vday present from G).
How did I forget about the amazingness that is roasted broccoli? I added it to our leftovers from the night before to make a pretty delicious dinner. I wish I made more!
- Baseball season
I love baseball season. Instead of me “tolerating” the craziness that Dan watches on TV the rest of the year (think lots of car and junk shows), Dan and I love watching Royals games together. The Royals played a day game yesterday, which we recorded. We both made an effort not to find out who won, and we watched the game together when we got home. And they won! Love it.
- Rest days. Yesterday was a planned and deserved rest day. My legs feel ready to hit the pavement again today.
I hope you have a blessed day!
