I am thankful that I found the remote!
This was in my bathroom upstairs, shoved underneath the cabinet. As I got out of the shower, I saw it and started laughing. Ina makes me laugh even when she doesn't know it.
I am thankful for the gym at my office.
Yesterday I squeezed in a 3 mile run over lunch, rinsed off, and worked the rest of the day with no makeup and pony-tail hair. I have only used the treadmills there, but I should try out the weight equipment sometime.
I am thankful for Dan.
Yesterday was his third day back at work, so I am sure he was exhausted when he got home. Somehow he still managed to cook us dinner while Ina and I played in the kitchen.
I am thankful for Ina learning. We are working on not picking her up when she cries/whines to be picked up, and let me tell you, that might be the most difficult thing I will ever do. She walks right over to me, grabs my legs, looks up, and puts it all out there. I hear one little sound of discomfort from her and I am putty in her hands. However, Dan is stronger than me and he kept reminding me to wait it out. Sigh.
After a few minutes of tantrum, she decided crying wasn't near as much fun as playing with her Minnie Mouse car, and smiled the rest of the night. Once she wasn't crying, I was more than happy to pick her up and cuddle that sweet face.
I am thankful for my church.
Seriously, every time I leave there I thank God that I live in the same town as this amazing place! If you live in the Kansas City area, you should visit us. Or, if you want, you can listen to a recent sermon online. Dan and I often re-listen to sermons that we heard a few weeks before. Believe me, we need it.
What are you thankful for?
