Good mooring! Let's have a fashion contest, shall we?
The first entry will be hard to beat - a koala bear.
So cute I could die. Poor baby was such a trooper. After Ina had 3 days of a fever over 100.4, I took her to the doctor who took one look in her ear and said, "oh, that's infected."
Never fear, once we have her an antibiotic, ibuprofen, and ear drops, she was ready to rock out her first Halloween.
The second entry is my tights.
I was kind of bummed I didn't have a costume this year, but then I excitedly ran downstairs to the basement and dug through boxes when I remembered that I wore these with a witch costume a few years ago.
The third entry (which I will have to admit is the winner) is the Jonah costume.
Didn't our trunk or treat Jonah and the whale turn out so well? One of the women in our small group is superwoman and she sewed her husband his Jonah costume in a matter of hours! Dan and I provided the car and I made the sign. One family from our small group meticulously cut out the teeth. Another couple brought the candy.
Teamwork makes the dreamwork. Now that I have been bit by the trunk or treat bug you better watch out. I can't wait until next year!
To find out more about Stitch Fix you can read my first review here.
When I opened the box to this month's Stitch Fix I ooed and ahhed. Each item I pulled out I loved more than the one before. I was really nervous that I wouldn't be able to say no to any of them.
However, there was a little problem - I have lost about 10 pounds since I filled out the sizing form and almost everything was a little too big.
Which is really unfortunate, because they sent me a pair of skinny jeans that I could wear everyday for the rest of my life, but were too saggy in the rear.
I did end up keeping this cashmere sweater with the pink elbow patches. It is so cute and felt like it was made from newborn baby skin.
I loved the color of this hi-low sweater, but slouchy really isn't my style .
I really thought I would like this jacket, but it didn't seem to connect right at the bottom, or maybe it was supposed to come up like that?
The polka-dot blouse was cute, but felt pretty boxy on me.
It was probably better for my wallet that only one item worked out perfectly, but I plan to search high and low for a pair of those jeans in a smaller size.
What do you think? Should I have kept anything else?
How was your Halloween? Did you dress up or see any really good costumes?
Have a wonderful weekend!

ReplyDeleteAh I LOVE elbow patches. I love all your items and it makes me REALLY want to sign up for one. I just know giving the clothes back would be torture for me! haha!

Woo hoo 10 pounds down! Too bad those skinnies didn't work out. I wound up falling in love with my $20 old navy pair. Shocking, I know. So if you aren't successful try there :)
ReplyDeleteI found a pair a Ann Taylor Loft Outlet that I love!
