Yesterday was a beautiful day at Kauffman stadium.
The parking lots were full of excited fans (beer x 2 = 8).
Empty seats were few and far between (peanuts 10).
And the jumbotron camera man had a little crush on my husband.
Dan's mug made it on the big screen three times, and with almost 40,000 fans in attendance, I find it pretty impressive.
It could have been his dance moves.
Or his unshaven face.
But I am pretty sure it was the hat. Oh the hat.
We had a great time, and the Royals ended up scoring 3 runs in the 8th inning to win the game. Yay!
This was the first time that I have left Ina other than to go to work, on a run, or to the grocery store. It felt very weird to be away from her. It was also a little freeing to know that I could relax and that someone I trust very much is keeping her safe and sound.
Breakfast - strawberry banana overnight oats
Lunch - salmon salad with FF mayo and mustard on a sandwich thin, green beans, sweet potato
Dinner - I was pretty full from the peanuts at the game, so I came home and had a piece of left over grilled pork tenderloin and a glass of milk.
Yesterday morning I ran. Outside. By myself. It was glorious.
This is something that may not happen again for years to come, so I thought I would celebrate how all the stars were aligned. Dan had the day off from work, so I didn't have to worry about geting home at any time. Ina slept until 4, woke up and ate, and then drifted peacefully back to sleep.
I went downstairs to my faithful treadmill, but my iPad wasn't working. So, oh a whim, I stepped outside and breathed in the fresh damp morning air.
I didn't have to plan for my run. I didn't even know what route I was going to take. I just ran. This was something I used to do all the time, and never ever appreciated it. You better believe that I truly felt every single step I took for 3.6 miles.
Earned 9. Used 18. 37 remaining.
Thought for the day
