Yesterday was like any other day. I woke up in a panic to get 2 hours worth of stuff done in 45 minutes. I was in the kitchen, making coffee and trying to publish my blog post when Dan walked downstairs and said he needed a good chunk of change for a health procedure.
"What!?! Why didn't you tell me about this earlier. I don't have the budget set up for that this month!"
Keep in mind I hadn't had my coffee yet.
He gave me a wounded look and after a little banter back and forth I realized that he obviously didn't want to spend that money any more than I did, so I apologized, gave him the moola, and kissed him goodbye.
Thirty minutes later I was drying my hair, thinking about what I would make for dinner. Why didn't I have dinner planned for tonight? I thought.
I think we might have had other plans...
Today is Dan's birthday!
So, not only did I not tell my favorite baby daddy happy birthday, I also yelled at him before he left to go to work.
Yep - world's worst wife.
I immediately called him in a panic, trying to get him to forgive me.
"Forgive you for what?" he asked.
"For forgetting your birthday."
"Oh, today is my birthday isn't it? I guess I forgot too."
Here is the post from Dan's birthday last year. (When I was a good wife and remembered it. I like reading posts from that time because I was pregeers and didn't know it!)
Pictures didn't happen yesterday morning. I was still in shock when I was packing my lunch.
Breakfast: cottage cheese and crushed pineapple
Lunch: leftover sweet and sour chicken (1)
Snacks: hard boiled eggs, clementines, Greek yogurt, and popcorn (scattered throughout the day)
Dinner - just like last year, we ordered Thai for Dan's birthday. I tried something new off the menu - chicken garpow (6) served over brown rice I made at home.
This was absolutely delicious and I will not hesitate to order it again. The sweet basil combined with the thai chili flavor is amazing.
Abby, Ina, and I went on a 2ish mile walk (+2).
It started out very relaxing, but pushing that stroller up those hills can be a pretty good workout. When we arrived home, Ina continued her workout with some crunches.
She is hardcore.
