On Friday night Dan, Abby, Ina, and I were heading to Mi Pub's for some dinner. When I opened the door to leave, I was bum-rushed by a bird. It flew in our house and landed on our bird cage.
Is that weird?
What do you do when a bird flies in your house? I wanted to call animal control, but didn't want to be late for dinner, so I tried to lure it out on my own.
However, my efforts were being countered by my child, I mean my husband. He kept on saying he wanting to keep it and love it.
He named it Gertrude. I tried to tell him that it was wild, that it was probably full of diseases that would hurt Ina, but he didn't want to hear it.
We finally persuaded the little fella to fly out of our balcony door after putting our fake tree plant on the balcony. Phew. Dan pouted the whole drive to dinner saying that I "didn't even give Gertrude a chance."
Can we all take a moment to appreciate this:
Yesterday was eventful - work, getting Ina's first professional pictures(!!!), and meeting up with our Financial Peace University small group for dinner.
We went to church this morning (the sermon was on parenting - perfect).
We are now prepping food for the Super Bowl and are heading out the door to my future sister-in-law's bridal shower. Have a wonderful Sunday. <3
