It is a Beautiful Thing... eat breakfast during tummy time - banana blueberry baked oatmeal following *this recipe* (12).

IMG 2273 see sweat dripping on the treadmill - I ran, or jogged, a 5k!  It took me 34 minutes, but I did it. scarf down the most convienent item in the fridge for lunch - leftover cilantro coconut rice and mango salsa (7) and

Greek Yogurt, cinnamon and applesauce (2).

IMG 2274 make it somewhere ON TIME.  Ina had to get her heel pricked for a blood test (I am going to have nightmares of her screams for months) and I had a midwife appointment, but we made it through both appointments without any additional crying - at least on her part.  I snacked on some cottage cheese and a pear  (4) when we got back home.

IMG 2277 walk into a house that smells wonderfully of dinner that is almost done in the crockpot.  I made balsamic beef following *this recipe*.  Served with baked potato and steamed broccoli and cauliflower covered in cheese (22).

Dan said this was the best meal I have made in a long time.  I am putting that recipe in the permanent rotation. enjoy dessert (5) while Dan rocked Ina to sleep.

Poor Baby Girl is in such a good mood all day, but this past week, as soon as Dan gets home and we try to eat dinner, she is not happy at all. So, Dan and I do the hand-off while we each try to finish our meal before it gets cold.

Thought for the day

  1. How's that balsamic beef? Thinking of making it for my husband, but needing to call it something different than "Balsamic". He loved when I made beef in a "red wine sauce" instead of using the real name - "Beef in red wine gravy". That sort of stuff matters in our house. ;-)

If I ever ran a 5k in 34 minutes, I'd be elated. I can't wait until I'm healed and can run again!

    1. The balsmic beef is amazing. I promise your husband will love it! :) I can't wait until you can run again either! :)
