Yesterday just wasn't my day.
It had some high points -
-Ina Mae gained 1.5 more ounces - only 1.5 ounces left to go until she gets back to her birth weight!
-My house was cleaned up and down, inside and out, by my awesome cousin.
-My wonderful friends in North Carolina sent us some beautiful flowers (thanks guys!).
-We attended my dad's office Christmas party, where fun was had by all -
eating great food, singing Christmas carols, watching the kids dance along,
losing at Christmas bingo.
I tried to remember those high points when the day wasn't going so well.
Yesterday I swore to never give Wal-Mart another cent of my money after I stood in line for 30 minutes only to find out that my online order for Christmas cards was lost and there was nothing they could do about it.
I swore to always pack an extra change of clothes for me, as I sat in my car, wondering how to cover up a milk stain that covered half of my body.
But, most importantly, I swore to never take anything for granted.
To hug my baby girl even tighter.
To soak in every second I get with the awesome people in my life.
Especially the children.
"The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." Psalm 34:18
