Our first outing went off without a hitch!
We went to the pediatrician's office first where we found out that Ina Mae had gained two more ounces! She is up to 6 pounds and 13 ounces - 3 ounces away from her original birth weight!
We also went to TWO banks, one of which we had to go inside, the dollar store, and to get lunch.
The only time she cried was when we had to take her clothes off to weigh her.
I didn't forget anything we needed in the diaper bag because we didn't use anything in the diaper bag. We made it there on time. It was a success.
The only hiccup was that Dan and I didn't eat before we left - her appointment was at noon. I don't know how I forgot to eat breakfast.
So, I snacked on some grapes on the way up there and we ended up getting Taco Bell for lunch. Ugh.
This grilled stuffed burrito tasted about as good as it looks, but it kept away the low blood sugar haze.
Other highlights of the day:
- I took Christmas card pictures. Here is one that didn't make the final cut, because, despite multiple YouTube video searches,
I do not have the ability to make a bow. However, I thought I could share it with you guys.
- Dan and I found our limit of how many days we can enjoy being with each other 24/7. Last night we did not agree on anything. My brother's fiancé and her kids came over for dinner and to meet Little Miss. We had "make your own pizza" for dinner.
I thought the sauce should be one way, Dan thought the biscuits should be another way. Ugh. It was a good thing we had cute kids there to distract us.
Help us mix the sauce
and hold the baby.
Having said that, we already miss Daddy so much. (I used to hate it when couple would refer to each other as "mom" and "dad." We have already fully taken that plunge.)
-I wanted to put on "real clothes" for our outing. I attempted putting on my "chubby" pre-pregnancy jeans. Did I get them buttoned? Yes. Did they look good? No. It was muffin top city over here. So, I rocked the maternity clothes. No big deal.
- Ina Mae slept from 7:30 to 1:30 last night. I woke up at 1:30 certain she wasn't breathing because she eats every 3 to 4 hours. I had to wake her up to eat! I haven't had a solid 5 hours of sleep since she was born, so after I fed her I was wide awake. So, I made Dan lunch, made our Christmas cards, did the dishes, and still couldn't sleep. Eventually I just laid down with her on my chest and fell asleep just as Dan was leaving for work.
She is turning out to be the perfect little baby!
