Good morning and happy Monday! I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend. Mine was fabulous, but by far the best part was a book baby shower our friends threw for Margaret.
I know, at first thought a book party might sound a little dull. However, this party was anything and everything but dull. It was so fun, I couldn't think of a single best part, so I thought I would list all the best parts:
-The decor:
So stinking cute. My friend Chessa asked Dan and I a few questions about parenting and compared our answers on the wall. Some things we agree on, a few need a little more discussion.
-The beer tree - that included NA for moi:
-The food. Oh. My. God. Hot dog bar, cupcakes, snicker doodles, etc. Margaret did not go away hungry.
- The boys. Turns out, boys make a baby shower very fun.
Especially when they love the pink drinks.
-My favorite babies.
-The books. Oh my, Margaret is going to be a genius.
Everyone brought the best books! Seeing these books again was taking a stroll down memory lane. We spent the night reading excerpts from one book or another out loud.
- Even better than the books themselves, are the notes that everyone wrote to Margaret inside.
So special. I can't wait to read those to her as she grows up. How could you not feel loved when so many people have such nice things to say and they don't even know you yet?
- The fact that I wore leggings as pants and no one called me out on it. I love being pregnant - no holding back on the comfy clothes.
-So many good friends.
I could just feel the love in the room. We even had a special surprise from some out of town friends we haven't seen in years!
See, best book party ever.
You probably noticed that these pictures look better than usual. Thanks Chessa for being an awesome host and an awesome photographer at the same time. Muah!
What a great idea! Looks like you had a wonderful time! :)
