A Little Note

Sometimes all it takes is a little note left on your car (that you thought was a parking ticket) to make your day better.

(It was sweet enough to forgive the use of "u" instead of "you."  Seriously - two more letters....)

Or a BIG meal.

After debating on making dinner versus eating graham crackers and icing, I buckled down and cooked.  Meatloaf, roasted potatoes, and green beans - Margaret and Dan were happy.

We ate dinner while watching the movie 50/50.

Although some parts were funny, with this baby on the way I don't feel we were emotionally stable enough for this movie. Lots of tears.  Lots of pauses for philosophical talks about why life is the way it is.  If you plan to watch this movie, prepare yourself.

Thought for the day

 Question for the day

Do you like sad movies?  My dad will change the channel if he thinks the movie will make him sad.  It used to not make sense to me, but now I am starting to get where he is coming from.

  1. I don't know why I like sad movies. I used to watch "When a Man Loves a Woman" over and over again in college and I didn't even grow up with nor know any alcoholics! Maybe when I was down, it was a way that I could cry with an excuse? Hmmm... You've got me thinking now.

  2. 50/50 was such an unexpectedly good movie. I got it on Netflix thinking it was a comedy. Seth Rogan fooled me. I cried and that does not happen often during movie watching. Something about seeing grown men cry/upset breaks me downnn.

  3. I stay away from sad or scary movies if possible! Give me chick flick or Disney cartoon any day! Your dinner looks so yummy!!
