Peter Pan

I have been fighting growing up for quite some time now, so when I was choosing shows to see this summer at Starlight, I knew Peter Pan would be great.

My mom and I had a date while Dan celebrated one of his friend’s birthdays.  She had a strawberry daiquiri

and I joined all the little kids dressed up like pirates and Tinker Bell in having a giant blue cup of sugar with a lemon in it.

I love Starlight because it is outside and allows me to not only enjoy a great show, but also the (usually) beautiful weather.

Unfortunately, the heat and the salt in the pretzel added up and I started getting swollen feet and a little antsy in my seat after the intermission.  However, the end was worth the wait.

Peter Pan, played by Cathy Rigby, a former US Olympian, flew over the audience doing flips and throwing out glitter.  Awesome.

Cathy has led a very interesting life – Olympian to sports broadcaster to Peter Pan.  You can read about it here

Other Eats

Breakfast – peanut butter and oatmeal from my work’s cafeteria

Lunch – left over taco salad sans jalapenos.  (Note – the heart burn finally subsided around 10:30 – hallelujah!).  Plus a cookie that Dan brought home for me.  Such a sweetie.

I also had a bowl of cereal in between work and the theater.

Friday was a rest day.  No Blue Bell for this girl.

Thought for the Day:
