Last night I got home from work and just felt like relaxing in front of the TV. Unfortunately, the latest episode of Pretty Little Liars wasn’t in my OnDemand, so I was forced to either watch a rerun or pick a new show. That was when I remembered that my brother in law recommended The Newsroom, a new show on HBO. From HBO’s website:

So, I put a batch of parmesean garlic kale chips in the oven and started the first episode.
I was instantly hooked, and when Dan got home I re-watched the first episode with him and then we watched the second episode. I would highly recommend this very unique show – unless you are easily offended, especially politically.
Somewhere in between the first and second showing of the first episode I also enjoyed some leftover fruit pizza that I hid in my fridge Jessie accidently left at my house.
Kale + fruit pizza = the most nutritious dinner to date.
Other Food
I can’t get enough of these fresh peaches – they tasted great with plain greek yogurt, cinnamon, and stevia.
I met my good friend Liz for lunch at Cheesecake Factory. Liz is a great lunch companion because she never lets the conversation die down and I love it. It had been far to long since we had seen each other and I loved catching up.
I ordered the lunch special of salad and Hawaiian pizza – I saved half the pizza for lunch on Monday! Finally something on Monday to look forward to.
I did not run yesterday and I don’t plan on running today. What is the world coming to?
Thought for the day

What do Kale chips taste like? I have heard a lot about them lately, but I am leery.
ReplyDeleteKale chips are awesome! They obviously don't taste like potato chips, but they have a great flavor and if cooked correctly (I do it about half the time) they are nice and crispy.
