July Foodie Pen Pal

Another month means another box of goodies to get excited about!

This month, I received my loot from Becky at Skinny Minnie’s Recipes.  (Such a cute blog name!)

The box was stuffed full of great items.  I have made a few pitchers of that refreshing mango and peach iced tea, as Becky suggested.  I am very interested in using the Asian dressing a marinade for chicken.

The wasabi peas and kale chips are the perfect little snacks.  Lastly, I have been wanting to try Love Grown granola for quite some time now, and it did not disappoint.  Sadly, that bag has already disappeared.

Thank you Becky for all the tasty treats!

To see what I sent this month, head over to Three Blind Wives.  (I was paired with another pregnant lady this month – this time she even lives in Kansas City!  A great match!)

If you want to participate in Foodie Pen Pals, Lindsay at The Lean Green Bean will hook you up.

In My Belly

Breakfast – boiled eggs and toast.  I new staple when absolutely NOTHING sounds good.

Lunch and snacks – tuna salad (tuna, boiled egg, red  pepper, celery, cucumber, dill pickle, and mayo), watermelon, yogurt, and cucumber.

Dinner – two of my dreams came true at once.  Chessa (my good friend from pharmacy school) has FINALLY moved back to Kansas City and we surprised her last night to take her out to eat at an INDIAN restaurant close by.

Mamma loves chicken tikka saag and chicken tikka masala.

I am really looking forward to those leftovers!

I can’t tell you how nice it was to just jump in the car and go visit Chessa.  For the past two years we would have had to take a plane, and that takes a little planning.  Welcome back to Kansas City!

Workout

After work I walked directly from my car to my bedroom to change into running clothes, but told myself all I needed to do was walk.  After 2 miles I was a little bored, so I ran the last one.  I really didn’t want to do it, but after I was done I was one happy girl!

Thought for the day:

  4. Very nice package! I love those kale chips. I loved my package, too. Opening it felt like Christmas! The pickled green beans satisfied my pregnancy cravings on the deepest possible level. Thank you!!!
