What’s better than dinner? Dinner and a show.
Last night Dan and I met some friends at Kyoto, a Japanese steakhouse. This experience more than made up for my Friday night disappointment.
The food was AMAZING (can anybody get me the recipe for the wasabi-ginger-heaven-in-your-mouth mustard?) and our Chef was the best I have seen in my handful of Japanese steakhouse experiences. He had so many tricks up his sleeve, and naturally he and Dan became best friends before the night was over.
They even had nicknames for each other and a secret handshake. Seriously. We even befriended the couple who was sitting on the other side of our group – the whole way home Dan was upset I didn’t get their phone number. Creepy.
My favorite part is always trying to catch the shrimp in your mouth. Even though I love it, I always get super nervous when my turn comes. But, I caught all 4 (one with my hand but caught is caught) thankyouverymuch.
(Action shot fail.)
We met my friends from high school – Ashley and Liz. These girls and I go waaaayyy back and I LOVE getting to see them. We missed Sarah, our friend becoming even more of a genius in residency in North Carolina, so we took a picture with her on the phone.
After Dinner we headed back to Liz’s house to chit chat and wind down. We didn’t get home until 11:15 – a pretty wild night for the Kendricks.
Other Food
Breakfast was a repeat of Friday – boiled eggs and toast.
Lunch was a quick and easy mac and cheese, ground beef, and frozen broccoli.
With a small bowl of watermelon.
Treadmill
I walked 3 miles on the treadmill, and since this was the first time I had used it since Monday I am actually sore today. How sad. I am going to try some jogging today. Wish me luck!
