When you leave your house for two weeks there are piles of laundry when you return. Everywhere.
There are stacks of mail to attend to. And that is what I didn’t throw away.
Flowers that you didn’t even know existed have bloomed and already started to whither away.
Little birds hatch out of their eggs AND learn to fly away.
There is no soap in the shower and you wonder how long your husband has gone without using soap. Hehehe.
It feels so great to be home. Dan and I tackled our to-do list last night. I finished the laundry and we cleaned out and power washed the garage.
In between loads of laundry I prepped a veggie, beef, and cheese casserole (click *here* for the recipe) and stuck it in the oven while cleaning the garage.
I added mushrooms to the recipe and used ricotta cheese instead of cottage cheese. I will make this again – but next time I think it would taste better if the zucchini was diced smaller.
I went to my work’s cafeteria for lunch. I rarely take advantage of their salad bar because it is so expensive. But, when I am in a pinch and out of food, I am very thankful to have it.
Breakfast was a delicious batch of overnight oats.
Yesterday was my rest day. I am making an attempt to move it back to the weekend.
Thought for the day:
Daily Points (30) – Eating Points (28) = 2. Wow. I didn’t even mean to do that.
