This little baby was waiting in my inbox yesterday:
What happened? Where did the time go? How do I only have one month until I run another half marathon? Yikes.
After reading that email and slightly freaking out, I grabbed a calendar to figure out my remaining “training plan.” Every week, for the next four weeks, will include:
- One long run. I ran 8 miles last week, so it will go 9 –10 – 11- 8 – half marathon
- Two 4 to 5 mile runs
- Three 3ish mile runs, with at least one including a hill workout. This race is called The Hospital Hill run. As in, the hills will send you to the hospital if you don’t prepare for them. Hehehe.
I would love to be able to say that I will add strength training onto that, but let’s be real here.
Food
Breakfast was my favorite breakfast glop.
I know it looks disgusting, but it is so yummy and filling.
For both lunch and dinner I had left over green curry chicken.
I am officially green curry chicken-ed out.
Dessert was a few dips into the cookie butter jar (10).
I swear I want to die swimming in a tub of that stuff.
Run
I met up with Courtney for a 4.5 mile run. It felt good to cross the 3 mile mark, however it was extremely humid. Perfect training for a June race in Kansas City. WHAT was I thinking?
Thought for the day:
This is long – but very worth the read.
Points Breakdown:
Daily Points (30) + Activity Points (9) – Eating Points (39) = 0
I've never had Cookie Butter, but I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be able to stay out of it. Dane and I are going to PA this month and I REALLY want to stop at Trader Joe's in Pittsburgh. I've never been! :)
ReplyDeleteLove the thought for the day and did your sister have the baby yet???
If you don't find any there, I will send you some. It isn't fair to go through your life without tasting it! :)
ReplyDeleteI love Trader Joe's - obviously. However, I do think that people sometimes talk it up so much that when you go there for the first time don't be too excited. I mean, at the end of the day it is still just a grocery store. :)
No baby yet. I can't wait! I am sure my sister really can't wait. Poor thing.
I went to TJ's for the 1st time about a month ago. You're right, ppl talk it up so much but it is just a grocery store. I loved the chocolate oat brownie bars tho!! And I allllmost bought cookie butter, but didn't, & now I'm wishing that I did!! Good luck with your training!!
