Good morning! I hope everyone had a wonderful Mother’s Day!
This year Mother’s Day means even more to me as the the memory of seeing my sister in labor is still very close. I always knew that childbirth was painful, but being up close and personal with that pain brought it to an entirely new level. I am still baffled that women choose to have more than one child, but am very thankful that they do! Thank you to all those mothers out there!
My entire weekend was jam packed with family filled activities.
Saturday night I was blessed to have 18 people at my house to celebrate the holiday.
I woke up on Sunday to my favorite kind of overnight guests.
After breakfast and lunch with my parents and sister’s family we met Dan’s mom for a mother’s day dinner, where his niece took over the camera. Love it when that happens!
The only thing I counted this weekend were fingers and toes and the only running I did was after a happily screaming toddler. And, I am OK with that. I can run 10 miles whenever I want, but seeing Hallaway smile at me for the first time or hearing Kauffman count to 10 (but miss the number 6) – that is once in a lifetime kind of stuff.
But, I do have to make up for it this morning with a semi-longish run. I hope you have a wonderful week!
