Southern Hospitality

Check out where I am staying while in Chapel Hill.  My friend Meredith told me she bought a new house.  She even sent me pictures.  But, I still wasn’t expecting this amount of awesomeness.

I really had to fight the urge to sing the theme song to The Fresh Prince of Bel Air. 

I almost squealed when I pressed to clicker to open the gate this afternoon.  I am pretty sure I won’t get to do that very often in my future.

There is nothing more Southern than rocking chairs on the front porch.

Simba is big, but he is a lover.

Yesterday started off early because my flight left Kansas City at 6 am. I slept through most of the first flight, and enjoyed some breakfast on my second flight – while reading through my lecture for the bazillionith time.

After I landed I picked up my rental car – how hott is that!?!

I still am trying to figure out how I fit inside it.  Or the better question, how Dan is going to fit inside it next weekend.

I drove around a bit – and got lost a few times before I found a Whole Foods. I hit up the hot bar for a glorious lunch.

Afterwards I went to my friend Noelia’s apartment, where her boyfriend Sebastian graciously let me in and helped me connect to the internet so I could bust out some work before everyone got off work.

We headed to dinner around 7, and ended up at a little Italian restaurant.

The food was very tasty.  The company was better.  These people were the sole reason I made it through my year living away from home.  Even though I have lived apart from them for two years, when we get back together I feel like we picked up right where we left off. 

I was a bum and insisted on being in bed before 10.
