When I started this blog I knew I would be putting my business out on front street in order to be accountable for my food choices and running (or lack thereof). What I never expected was that I would actually make new friends! But I have.
I started reading a few blogs and even though the writers might not know me, I definitely know them. I will find myself telling my sister about what one blogger did during her pregnancy, or telling my friends about how another blogger lost weight. When I think about it, I feel kind of stalkerish. Hehehe.
Then there are bloggers that I actually talk to outside of their blog. Kim and I have become friends and talk in some form almost everyday. We were *this close* to meeting in Florida, but it didn’t work out. Yesterday, I met up with Julie, another Weight Watchers blogger, at Ingredient for lunch.
I thought I could help her with a few technical difficulties she was having with her blog. Turns out, I am not as big of a technology rock star as I thought, but the day wasn’t completely wasted because I made a new friend.
It is funny how we had never met each other, but our few connections made the conversation flow the entire time and before I knew it over an hour had passed. I had a lot of fun, and I look forward to doing it again soon – with hopefully more success in the technology department.
Other Food
Breakfast looked and tasted like dessert. At least it had a banana on it.
I had a pear for a morning snack and carrot sticks for an afternoon snack.
When I got home I immediately roasted some brussel sprouts so I didn’t empty my entire pantry.
After I had dinner in the oven and was waiting for Dan to come home I discovered a very tasty mock pastry snack. I made one with half the pita, and then had another one because it was so good.
I had originally bought the honey apple butter because Trader Joe’s was out of fig butter, but now I will have to start stocking up with both.
After the tasty pastry dinner was pretty anti-climatic, except that Dan was finally home.
We enjoyed dinner and a little dessert while catching up on Justified.
A wonderful, relaxing night.
Run
Yesterday I ran 4.5 miles outside with no music. It was a perfect opportunity to think and get a few things that need my attention mentally sorted out. Running = quality me time.
Thought for the day:
