Plus, watching a sexy uniform guy at work always puts me in a good mood. Hehehe.
Last night our new neighbors came over for dinner. Courtney brought a bowl of fresh fruit and a bottle of Malbec -a girl who knows her way to my heart.
The weather was amazing and the food was yummy. We kept it simple with grilled chicken, veggies, and rice.
For the rice I mixed together a can of drained and rinsed black beans, a cup of frozen corn (thawed), a bunch of cilantro chopped, 1 tbs of olive oil, 2 tbs of lime juice, 6 cups of cooked rice, and salt to taste.
The girls dominated in a game of washers while Dan grilled pineapple with honey for dessert.
I guess I have to say that the boys won the second game of washers, but I am pretty sure they cheated while we were cleaning up.
Other Eats

Breakfast and lunch were very similar to yesterday.
I also roasted some butternut squash which I enjoyed with some ketchup and mustard (1).
Run
Yesterday I ran 4 wonderful miles while reading The Secret Life of CeeCee Wilkes. It is starting to get good...
Thought for the day:

How can you read and run at the same time? This boggles my mind. I would fall off the treadmill.
ReplyDeleteBahaha....I just stay at the same pace. It isn't really any different than watching a TV show. Having my ipad really helps too, because I don't have to bother with turning actual pages.
DeleteYou should try it with your Kindle (walking first) and then slowly increase the speed. ;)
Beautiful pics-- your dinner sounds delicious, especially that grilled pineapple. YUM!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by! The grilled pineapple was delish - and so simple! :)
