I love them even more when they are filled with food.
This month I joined The Lean Green Bean's Foodie Pen Pal exchange where you send someone $15 worth of food and someone else sends you $15 worth of food (If you want to participate next month, see the details at the bottom of the page. You don't have to write a blog, you just have to love food).
My first month, I got the luck of the draw. Jessica from Doggie at the Dinner Table sent me a delicious package of San Antonio gems. (By the way, she is giving away a Nook Color this week. Click *here* to enter to win).
She sent two yummy-looking dip mixes, a Texas chili mix, some margarita jelly, and some pecan honey butter.
If you are wondering, I sent a reader a box loaded with Trader Joe's goodies. I know you aren't surprised.
In other news. look who got a haaaiiiirrrrr cuuuuttt! I know that might not seem like news to a lot of people, but over here, it's kind of a big deal.
Yesterday's Eats
Breakfast was airport food at its finest
When I got home from the airport I was famished, but had a lot of work to catch up on, so I threw some kale chips in the oven and inhaled the majority of a carton of cottage cheese with peaches.
Dan had boys night with pool and pizza for dinner, so I had a dinner date with Ben and his 3 remaining ladies. I kept it simple with a salmon burger, roasted green beans, and a microwaved potato.
For dessert, I whipped up a batch of Banana Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Muffins (click *here* for the recipe). I also might be donating a batch of these to an online charity bake sale which might take place on Friday, so stay tuned.
I ate two (6).
(Lack of a) Run
I didn't run yesterday because my leg muscles were oh-so-sore. I guess the half marathon did a little more damage than I thought. I mostly focused on downing water and stretching. Today is not looking much better, but I am going to hop back on the
