What's Your Number?

Yesterday I ran 10 miles while watching the movie What's Your Number?

The movie was cute, and provided exactly enough entertainment to keep me interested while running. On the other hand, the running was not so good.  After 6 miles I had to talk myself out of quitting about every 5 minutes.  (There were a lot of "You got this Racheal"s and "Just keep going"s.) I thought that darn movie was never going to end.  But it did, and I am still alive, so there you have it.  Next week I am taking a long-run-break for a race, and then it is full steam ahead at 11 miles.  I can't believe I only have about a month left until the half marathon!

Before running, I snacked on two Amazeballs and some coffee, and then after running I ate some overnight oatmeal with bananas and blueberries.  I took a picture of the oatmeal (I even made a pretty design out of the berries and banana slices), but forgot to put the memory card back in my camera.  Oops.

Breakfast: Amazeballs (6) plus overnight oatmeal  (4)

I worked from home yesterday, so my meals and snacks could be a little more creative.  Lunch was a roast beef whole wheat wrap with a horseradish cream sauce made from reduced fat sour cream and grated horseradish.  Mmmm...

I made some kale chips for a snack, but this time used my olive oil spray instead of olive oil.  They turned out much better, and I could save my points for shake cheese.  That is an entire cookie sheet covered and you better believe I ate every single last one of those suckers. :)

Last night my whole family went out to dinner for my mom's 50th birthday.  We went to this great little restaurant in Brookside called Avenue Bistro.

Pear-blue cheese-walnut salad (8)

Shrimp, Lobster, and Calamari Ceviche (17)

The food was amazing, but the company was better.  It was wonderful to see everyone after going through post-holiday family withdrawal.

Mom got her red hat for turning 50!

Afterwards Dan and I met some of my friends from work in Westport for a drink.  Of course, I was so busy chatting that I didn't take one picture.  It was a (late) great evening.

Vodka soda x 2 (6)

Today we are off to Weston to stay at a bed and breakfast!  Have a wonderful weekend!

Thought for the day:
