I am super pumped that my pictures won't look like they were taken by a cell phone anymore!
But, at the same time, I am a bit nervous. You see, cameras and I have a bit of a history. An unsuccessful history.
The camera I last purchased took in some water while kayaking in St. Thomas and the display stopped working.
I am pretty sure that was right when Dan said, "Racheal, put that thing away, it is going to get wet." Sigh.
The camera before that Dan spent hours picking out. He bought this gigantic sturdy camera that looked and weighed like it was covered in concrete. He deemed it "Racheal-proof." And then I left it in a rental car in Orlando. If it was fully "Racheal-proof" it would have been strapped to my body. Even sadder than losing the camera was losing all the pictures from our wonderful trip.
The camera before that got some sand stuck it in on a beach in Aruba and the lens stopped opening. Below is the last image it captured. Classy.
I am sure you are catching on to a pattern here. Today I am stopping the cycle. I am turning my life around. Sadly, I have said that before, but this time I am for-real. :)
Yesterday I ran 4 miles while watching Pan Am. Nothing too exciting to report there.
For breakfast, I did not feel like eating anything, but I knew if I didn't I would be starving all day. So I threw some chocolate protein powder, a banana, Greek yogurt, Almond Smooth, and oats in the blender and drank my breakfast.

Lunch and snacks were pretty boring. I didn't even get a chance to take a picture of my lunch, but it was a repeat of the weekend's taco soup (8).

For dinner Dan and I tag-teamed lemon and rosemary roast chicken and potatoes. (Click *here* for the recipe).
My favorite part of the meal was my genius idea to add goat cheese to my broccoli.

I don't think I will ever eat it any other way. Except for maybe roasted. Or on a baked potato. Dang it.
The potatoes needed a little more flavor, so I added some ketchup to my purple potato.
For Dessert #1 I tried *this recipe* to make a microwave protein muffin (I used whole wheat flour instead of coconut flour and added a tablespoon of chocolate chips).

Dessert #2 was the last green tea ice cream bar. :( I see another trip to the International Market in my future.
