I woke up early Christmas morning, but not to see what Santa brought.
Instead, I was praying to the porcelain Gods, along with the majority of my family. It was a good thing we celebrated Christmas a on Friday or else most of us would have been opening our presents in bed.
I understand EXACTLY how Mickey feels. :)
Being sick was only one of the excuses I have for not running.
On Friday I know that I said I was going to run 8 miles, but I was so busy trying to get last minute gifts together, that I only ran 3.5 miles.
On Saturday Santa came, then I went to the Chiefs game, and when I got home I didn't feel all that great. So I didn't run at all. SHAME.
On Sunday I spent most of the day in the bathroom or in bed. So again, no running.
Today I have recovered, for the most part. I ran 3 miles while watching New Girl. I know that isn't anything spectacular, but it is better than the past few days.
Hopefully tomorrow, when the real world starts again and I go back to my normal routine, I will get over this running funk.
Here are some Christmas highlights:
Santa brought Grandma and Grandpa a new stove. It took all day and all the men to get it installed.
Reindeer cheeseball
Present room
Dan's deviled eggs
My "12 Days of Christmas" glass
We got a Roomba from my cousins! Now I will never have to vacuum again! :) And just in case I do, my parents got us a Dyson.
Our stockings.
I hope everyone had an amazing Christmas and has a short week until New Year's!
Thought for the day:
So funny! We had those same 12 Days of Christmas glasses when I was growing up! My mom still uses what is left of the 2 sets she had. My favorite day/glass was and still is 2 Turtle Doves. : )
ReplyDeleteI can't pick a favorite. I got a set for as a wedding gift...but of course, we still use Grandma's! ;) Thanks for stopping by!
