...and a really full inbox after not checking my work email for TEN days!
It was good while it lasted. :)
I love how after Christmas there is usually a 4 day work week until New Year's (another 3 day weekend) in order to slowly ease yourself back into the swing of things.
I forgot to mention yesterday that when I got home from Colorado, Dan had fixed my treadmill! Hallelujah! A Christmas miracle!
But when that door closed, another door opened, and now my Keurig is broken, which may be more of a tragedy than the treadmill. I require caffeine in the morning. It is flashing the error "de-scale." What does that mean? I *might* have the time / patience to call them tonight.
This morning, in my hunt for caffeine, I popped a coffee cup with a tea bag and water in the microwave for 2 minutes and waited
Silly me. Good thing I iced those suckers down fast...my fingers are my money makers. A broken leg would be no big deal, but I have to type to do my job. :)
This morning I ran 5 miles while watching The Only Way is Essex which I had to Wikipedia, because after watching two episodes, I still couldn't figure out if it was a reality show, or a spoof on a reality show (like The Office or Modern Family). I am a little slow at picking up British humor, but it gave me a good Jersey Shore-like-fix until next season.
From Wikipedia:
The Only Way Is Essex, (often abbreviated as TOWIE)[2][3] is a BAFTA winning British semi-reality ("dramality") show based in Essex,England. It shows "real people in modified situations, saying unscripted lines but in a structured way."[4]
Hmmm...who knew such a thing existed? I may give it a few more chances, but drop it when my regular shows come back on.
Tomorrow will be another 5ish mile run, and then maybe sprints on Thursday.
I just sent Dan to pick up dinner from the new Mediterranean cafe in Martin City. I am a little nervous because when the woman on the phone repeated our order back to me she pronounced "gyro" phonetically. Hopefully that isn't a sign of the authenticity of the food. :)
Thought for the day:
