Cube Envy

I didn't run before work this morning because I was too busy rolling on the ground laughing after watching this:

and this:

So,  I packed a change of clothes and shower stuff and ran 4.6 miles on the treadmill at work during my lunch break while watching the Glee Christmas Spectacular.  I thought it was pretty cheesy, and for me (the queen of cheese) that is saying something.  Oh well, it got me through the run.

By the time I was done I was pretty proud of myself for checking that task off today's "to do" list until I finished showering and realized I forgot to bring a towel.  UGGHHH.  I didn't have time to drip dry because I had to be back at work for a meeting.  Let me just say I was very thankful that I wore a black sweater. :)

Forgetting my towel brought back memories of running at UMKC in between classes.  I would always forget something or pack a shirt with a huge stain on it or pants with a hole in them.  Never failed. :)

For those of you who don't know, I work in a cubicle.  I love my job for many reasons, but sitting in a cube all day does leave me a little restless.  However, when I walk across the hallway to the bathroom, I see that some people have found a way to fight the cubicle blues :

Here is my row of cubes:

(Sorry for the dark pictures.  I had to take them fast because I did't want to be the creeper in the office taking random pictures with my phone)

It appears the PK scientists are lacking in the creativity department.  I know that seeing their decor should put me in the holiday spirit, but instead it just makes my cube feel very inadequate.  Next year it is ON!  Because my cube is at the very end I am thinking I could even put lights up on the windows. :)

Have a great night!

Thought for the day:
