I love weekends at home, especially with the constant smell of cookies in the oven. When Dan was giving me a hug goodbye this morning he said I still smelled like cookies. Ha!
This weekend I made chocolate peanut butter balls,
chocolate chip cookies,
no bake cookies,
and peppermint bark.
We only had one batch of burnt cookies, which surprisingly tasted fine if you saturated them in milk.
(Dan even figured out that you don't even have to hold the cookie if you get it to fit on the sides of the milk glass).
My mom came over yesterday afternoon and helped me put the boxes together to send to Dan's, my mom's and my dad's work.
Sadly, this morning I didn't have anything good on my Hulu Que, so I braved the elements and went for an outdoor run for about 3.5 miles. The downside to running outside on a December morning is the cold / dark / creepiness. BUT, the upside to running on a December morning is CHRISTMAS LIGHTS. They were extra pretty in slow motion.
When I got home I saw that some elves had turned this:
An outdoor run was exactly what I needed to start out the week!
I hope you have a great start to your week too!
